I am not sure why this is called an airflow. Had to purchase a different carrier that can do both and she love that much more. She is 6 months (18lb 26in) and is so uncomfortable when I face her foreword. Leave awful marks on my babies legs outward facing. And there’s a defect on one of the snaps. Also, the carrier is very cumbersome, adding to my discomfort. Even with the lumbar support, the strap digs in to my waistline. However, the waist strap is not comfortable. It was really nice to not have that pain between my shoulder blades with the Lillie. While parts of this carrier are much more comfortable than the Baby Bjorn, parts are very annoying. I have a Mickey Mouse pattern that came out a few years ago. I love that it is breathable and the pocket holds my phone and keys perfectly along with a tether toy for my son. I have a severe back injury that causes me constant pain and this is the only carrier I've found that doesn't amplify the pain. I used it with both of my sons (age almost 3 years and age 6 months). I just would think the design doesn't have to be so complicated and feel so stiff to be useful. The baby likes it and she is way more alert and into the walk that she is if she faces me. I bought it because I wanted an ergonomic outward facing carrier. There are things I don't like about it - the waist straps feel low quality like there is cardboard inside, and it is hard to switch quickly from one mode to another.
