Don't feel like you always have to use your abilities to give yourself the best chance of victory. Valkyrie has possibly the flashiest abilities we've ever seen in Apex, but don't forget that this is a gun game first and foremost. Sometimes, the simplest answer is the correct one.You may feel as though flight is your ally, and it is in many ways - but you're also very, very vulnerable if you overuse your Jetpack. Consider your aerial abilities carefully.Valkyrie has powerful team repositioning potential, so try to be a team player and use her abilities for a team push, rather than going on an all-conceived solo mission.
We'll go over more specific tips and tricks with each of Valkyrie's abilities below, but here are some more general bits of advice that you should take with you into Season 10. Just know that these abilities synergise to make her one of the deadliest third-partying Legends out there, able to reach unexpected vantage points and approach the fight from surprising angles. We'll cover each of these abilities in great detail below. She's also a Recon Legend, which means she has the same additional Passive as Pathfinder, Bloodhound, and Crypto which allows them all to scan Survey Beacons to reveal the next ring location. It’s probably hard flying through the air and launching missiles without being noticed by everyone around, so you can expect some action after landing. If there’s a potential drawback to this upcoming Apex Legends character, it might be her visibility and vulnerability. This seems perfect in combination with Cluster Missile, but we’ll have to wait for more info on damage output and range to know for sure. On top of that, both VTOL Jets and Skyward will provide the player with great lines of sight. Increased mobility and a quick escape option from combat are definitely handy if you wish to rank high in Apex Legends. We might get a glimpse of this at the end of the Legacy trailer, when Valkyrie is hovering in the sky without moving sideways.
The VTOL Jets will probably allow her to hover only a short distance above ground, and only as a vertical movement. It's unlikely that Valkyrie will be able to fly horizontally like that by using VTOL Jets, as that seems too overpowered for a passive skill. It also confirms the possibility to use Cluster Missile while in the air. Assuming she’s using Skyward, this scene promises a great range, speed, and high mobility in flight. In the first part of the video, we witness Valkyrie as she swiftly flies towards her enemy and uses her missile launchers while still in the air. It’s clear that the wingsuit looks very different from the original Titan, but it still has its engines and missiles. However, the Legacy launch trailer (published on April 22nd) gives us an even better idea of what Valkyrie’s wingsuit and gameplay will look like.
